What a wonderful time of year! Our bellies are full from Thanksgiving, the December holidays are approaching, and the weather is perfect for both making and wearing wonderfully warm hand knits.
It is also a time of year when we begin to throw around some ideas for New Year’s resolutions. (May we recommend learning a new stitch??) At Knit One, the idea for our resolution was an easy one and while patience may be a virtue, we simply couldn’t wait until January to begin. So, as you may have guessed, Knit One is re-energizing the blog!
Welcome to our new little corner of the web! This blog will be a space to learn not only about the exciting things happening at the shop but also the wonderful world of yarn in general! For example, did you know that according to a study in the UK, web searches for “knitting” increased over 150% between July 2010 and July 2011? The term “knitting for beginners” increase by 250%! The knitting and crocheting craze remains on the rise and this blog will keep you informed on the latest trends in the field.
The best part about the new blog? We’ll be including a link to a free pattern with each post! Check out this pattern for The Comfort Shawl. We think the name speaks for itself. Enjoy!
